If you’re looking for a picturesque Hudson Valley wedding venue, you don’t want to miss Troutbeck! Mia and Vic were an absolute joy to photograph; their wedding was a celebration of love and laughter from start to finish. They were completely immersed in each moment, hardly noticing our cameras as they reveled in the sunshine and hugs shared with their friends and family. Photographing their wedding day was an unforgettable experience, and I felt incredibly privileged to be part of their day.
Their summertime wedding at Troutbeck in upstate New York kicked off with a relaxed Friday night dinner with close family and friends. The dinner was held in the newly constructed barn. Interestingly, the rustic building is crafted from reclaimed timber from the old Tappan Zee bridge over the Hudson nearby. Mia and Vic arrived a little early, allowing us to capture portraits and candid moments on the iconic stone bridge over the creek before guests arrived.
The next day started in the bustling bridal suite as Mia and her friends prepared for the day ahead. Then, joining up with Vic, their crew ventured into the historic garden for portraits. Afterward, we headed to a nearby cottage for the ketubah signing before returning to the walled garden for a heart-tugging ceremony surrounded by nearly 200 friends and family members. Guests celebrated with al fresco cocktails on the main house’s terrace, followed by a sunset reception in a beautifully decorated luxury tent. Bethany Pickard of Modern Kicks and Elizabeth Patterson of Ailish Floral designed, planned, and executed an absolutely stunning wedding for the books!
