We recently photographed the perfect fall wedding for Molly and Joe at the Greenpoint Loft in Brooklyn, New York. This renovated pre-WWII rope factory is a spectacular venue with an authentic, rustic, industrial-warehouse vibe with exposed wood, beams, and views of Manhattan. The venue sits less than a block from the East River and Transmitter Park, with quick access to the waterfront for couple portraits.

A Glimpse of Greenwood Culture

The main event space takes up the top floor of the building, showcasing skyline views over the water. However, the lower floors of the building house dozens of studios for creatives, including fashion designers, artists, graphic designers, musicians, and start-ups of every kind. The building and the neighboring “Pencil Factory” building symbolize Greenpoint’s creative culture. Greenpoint is a quickly changing & highly desire-able neighborhood along the Brooklyn waterfront.

Greenpoint is home to countless artists, musicians, designers, and creative makers from various backgrounds. There is a vibrant restaurant scene, including many Michelin Star restaurants, cocktail bars, art galleries, locally owned boutiques, and late-night eats.

Greenpoint Loft Wedding Day Timeline

Molly and Joe’s wedding day began at The William Vale hotel, about a mile away in North Williamsburg. The William Vale Hotel is also one of the jewels of North Williamsburg, with premium suites and unparalleled views of lower Manhattan. We highly recommend this luxury hotel for you and your guests to experience Brooklyn views and comfort on your wedding weekend. Plus, it offers excellent lighting for getting ready photos and plenty of photo ops around the hotel and surrounding blocks.

Greenpoint Loft Venue Details & Information | A Wedding Designer’s Dream

This unique NYC venue can accommodate up to 185 guests for your wedding day! Wedding packages range from $6,000 to $9,500, depending on your wedding date. For example, weekdays are much cheaper than Friday and Saturday weddings. The rental includes a 14-hour event window from 11:00 am to 1:00 am, and the space must be cleared by 2:00 am. (So, you have plenty of time to get down on the dancefloor and celebrate with your guests!)

Greenpoint’s BK Venues will take care of cleaning before and after your wedding, but you are responsible for removing all of your decor and belongings beforehand. We also love their design flexibility—you or your planner can style the venue however you want. However, Greenpoint only asks that you do not hang anything heavier than 100 lbs from their support beams or damage the property with nails, staples, etc.

In addition to the main space, your rental also includes an 800-square-foot roof deck for cocktail hour or extra space for guests to mingle.

Greenpoint Loft Preferred Vendors (or bring your own!)

The Greenpoint Loft does not require you to use specific vendors, but they do offer a preferred vendor list of companies who regularly work with the venue. If you decide to use different vendors, please have them visit the location before your wedding day to handle logistics.

The venue also provides two changing areas for the couple and their wedding party, conveniently located on either side of the main kitchen. While the venue doesn’t have a fully equipped kitchen, you can use the kitchen area for your caterers if needed. The kitchen prep area includes plenty of counter space, several electrical outlets, a sink, a commercial refrigerator, and trash cans. Please let your caterers know they may bring in extra equipment or appliances if needed for your wedding day.

Wedding Day Parking Accommodations

Greenpoint Loft does not have any parking on-site, but a nearby garage is open 24 hours a day. Guests may park and then walk over to the venue. If you want to use a valet service, Greenpoint requires that you use Elite Valet, their approved valet company.
