Amber and Russell

This weekend is finally Amber and Russell's wedding! I'm so looking forward to their day, and I wanted to share a couple of my favorites from their engagement session back in chilly November.

There are days when I realize full on that I am incredibly lucky. Photographing Amber and Russell was one of those days. Not only was the weather perfect, but after spending just a few minutes with these two people, things just clicked. I could tell that we share the same goofy sense of humor and I felt like we'd already been friends for years. And so, instead of spending the post gushing over how many things we have in common, and how awesome this couple's wedding is going to be, I wanted to share Amber's perspective and let her do the talking.

"Russell and I met six years ago at none other than a wedding! For five years we flew back and forth between where I was going to college and where Russell was stationed for the Army, making the best of our time together, even when it was distanced by deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. A couple days after he returned from Afghanistan, Russell flew into Baltimore and proposed to me- I was beyond excited and surprised! And so the wedding planning began..

During our engagement shoot, Lindsay made sure that she got shots of all the areas of Baltimore that we loved and had so many creative ideas. She put our somewhat camera-shy selves at ease, and made the shoot such a fun experience- even our dog who we wanted in the shoot seemed to have a great time!"

See you Sunday!

Gowns on the Farm

Oh what a wonderful day of creativity abound! Recently, Lindsay and Shane teamed up with the two fantastic ladies behind Jill Andrews Gowns, Jill and Sara, and the lovely Ellen Frost of Local Color Flowers to pull together this fantastical shoot. Thank you to Julia from Kiss n Make-up for the finishing touches. We are really excited about how it all came together and are so thankful for our team. Especially Lane, Shannon and Christian, our patient models who were up for the challenge. Here's just a little taste from the shoot, lots more to come!
