Marin and Shalin

As the chilly fall weather sets in, we wanted to revisit one of our favorite wedding destinations: Puerto Rico. Jacqueline and I (Lindsay) were thrilled to document the celebration of Marin and Shalin in Old San Juan--a vibrant, colorful city.

We started the day at El Convento, a former monastery that has been converted into a luxury hotel. Meeting in the afternoon Caribbean light, Marin and Shalin greeted each other on an old, ocean-side cobblestone street for pre-ceremony portraits. The couple then exchanged vows at El Morro, the enchanting stone fort at the island's edge. The dark night sky and cool ocean wind made a dramatic yet intimate backdrop.

The celebration that followed was nothing short of elegant. Lauren Daversa beautifully coordinated and executed the many facets of this destination wedding and made Marin and Shalin's vision come to life with every creative detail.

Bridal Market

It was a delight to spend an evening out on the town celebrating the New York wedding industry as part of Bridal Fashion Week. Basically, it's a bunch of people who plan parties and provide support for those celebrating - everyone from bands and djs to florists, cakemakers, and photographers. It's so much fun to see our creative friends and meet new like-minded folks in a celebratory atmosphere. From the  white-clad Martha Stewart Bridal Market Party in Chelsea, we meandered through the fall misty evening to the Knot soiree at the New York Public Library. It's such a beautiful building and truly amazing to dance amongst the architecture! Snacks and drinks in Williamsburg with some close pals was the perfect way to finish off a great New York night!
